Faith Grows In God's Time
Have you ever prayed for something and wondered if God was listening? Perhaps you have prayed for guidance, peace, or a loved one, only to find yourself waiting for an answer. In those quiet moments, it can be difficult to trust that anything is happening at all.

In Galatians 6:9-10, St. Paul offers a gentle reminder to persevere: “Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up. So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who belong to the family of the faith.”
Fall reminds us that growth takes time. The apples, pumpkins, and colorful mums that brighten our gardens all began with small seeds that needed patience, care, and nourishment before they could flourish.
Our prayers are much the same. Even when we feel our prayers have gone unanswered, God is at work in ways we may not see or understand. Like a seed growing beneath the soil, our faith develops quietly as we wait and learn to trust in Him.
We may never know how deeply our kindness has touched another person, just as we may not immediately recognize how God is working through our prayers. We trust that He hears us, even when His answers come in unexpected ways or according to a timing different from our own.
So let us not grow tired of doing good. Let us continue to pray, serve, and love, trusting that our efforts matter even when we cannot see the results.
As you enjoy the beauty of the fall season, consider this: What seeds of faith can you plant today?
Perhaps it is a prayer for someone in need, a kind word to a neighbor, or a simple act of service. Whatever the opportunity, take a moment to respond with love. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep doing good. Trust that God is at work, even in the quiet moments when you cannot yet see the fruits of your faith.
