Our MISSION
Pope Francis has said, “the Eucharist is God’s response to the deepest hunger of the human heart, the hunger for authentic life, for in the Eucharist Christ himself is truly in our midst, to nourish, console and sustain us on our journey.” As Jesus selflessly gives himself to us in the Eucharist as spiritual nourishment, this cherished encounter with Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist directs us and strengthens us to continue His mission of evangelizing, revitalizing the faith and caring for those in need.
The Catholic Ministries Appeal supports formation programs that prepare our priests, deacons and lay leaders; train our religious education catechists and adult faith formation leaders who educate our youth and parish families; provide food and housing programs that serve our seniors, disadvantaged families, people with special needs, and those struggling with substance abuse; and promote the sanctity of life at all stages. Working together, we are all revitalizing the lives and faith of our brothers and sisters on Long Island.

“O God, grant that whatever good things I have, I may share generously with those who have not, and whatever good things I do not have, I may request humbly from those who do.”
